2026 UN STI Forum
Official Youth Delegate • Multi-stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for the SDGsThe UN Multi-stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for the SDGs (STI Forum) brings together scientists, innovators, policymakers, and youth delegates from around the globe to discuss how technology can advance the Sustainable Development Goals.
What Was Done at the Forum
- Engaged Global Leaders & Keynote Speakers: Spoke directly with plenary speakers, adult policy advisors, and international innovators, gaining real confidence in communicating ClariQuest’s mission succinctly.
- Represented Youth Perspectives: Actively contributed youth viewpoints during side events on emerging technologies, AI ethics, and UN SDG 4 (Quality Education).
- Gathered Direct Project Feedback: Conducted surveys and discussions with fellow delegates to evaluate youth vulnerabilities to algorithmic bias, using the findings to refine our CRITICAL framework.
- Built Cross-Border Coalitions: Connected with youth fellows and educators across regions to explore partnerships for digital literacy simulations and classroom workshops.
Key Learnings & Reflections
- Architectural Literacy is Essential: Discussions underscored that passive fact-checking is insufficient in the era of generative AI; youth must understand the hidden data incentives and recommendation algorithms driving digital feeds.
- Youth Belong at the Policy Table: Witnessing multilateral debate confirmed that young people should not simply be treated as consumers of proprietary tech, but active designers of technology governance.
- Global Need for Simulation Tools: Educators and delegates highlighted a shared void in interactive educational tools, validating ClariQuest’s decision to build scenario-based inquiry games.
- Refining the 8-Step Framework: Insights gained from international delegates helped evolve the CRITICAL Framework from theoretical advice into practical verification habits.
